Sanskrit Verse


दु:खेष्वनुद्विग्नमना: सुखेषु विगतस्पृह: |
वीतरागभयक्रोध: स्थितधीर्मुनिरुच्यते ||

Transliteration


Duhkheshv-anudvigna-manaah sukheshu vigata-sprihah
veeta-raaga-bhaya-krodhah sthita-dheer-munir-uchyate

English Translation


One whose mind is not disturbed by sorrow, nor craves for pleasures, is free from attachment, fear & anger is called a sage(Muni) of steady wisdom.
