Chapter 2. Yoga of Wisdom: Verse 51

Sanskrit Verse


कर्मजं बुद्धियुक्ता हि फलं त्यक्त्वा मनीषिण: |
जन्मबन्धविनिर्मुक्ता: पदं गच्छन्त्यनामयम् ||

Transliteration


Karma-jam buddhi-yuktaa hi phalam tyaktvaa maneeshinah
janma-bandha-vinirmuktaah padam gachchhanty-anaamayam

English Translation


Those who have mastered their minds with their intellect united with wisdom abandon actions for fruits, which bind one to the chain of rebirth, they attain state beyond suffering.
