Sanskrit Verse


यं हि न व्यथयन्त्येते पुरुषं पुरुषर्षभ |
समदु:खसुखं धीरं सोऽमृतत्वाय कल्पते ||

Transliteration


Yam hi na vyathayantyete purusham purusharshabha
sama-duhkha-sukham dheeram so-amritatvaaya kalpate

English Translation


O best one among men (Arjuna), he who is not ruffled by these (contact of the senses) and remains even minded in happiness and suffering, he is eligible for liberation.
